Mind-blowing Concept Illustrations by Ken Barthelmey

Ken Barthelmey is a freelance designer and illustrator from Luxembourg and started drawing and sculpturing at an early age. He has always been passionate about art and all creative things in general. His focus has lately been on creating creatures and characters but he also have a passion for objects and environments.

Movies like “Star Wars” or “The Lord of the Rings” have been a great inspiration for Ken. Besides painting and creating illustrations, he creates masks and scale models of some of his creations. A while ago he also started working in CG; creating high resolution models with 3-D software.

His goal is to create cool and interesting concepts making sure they are realistic and believable! All of his recent work is digital, drawn with a graphics Tablet. Working digitaly allows him to be faster and more flexible because the digital domain offers him endless possibilities.
