Cool and Creepy Illustrations by Nightmare Mikey

Nightmare Mikey is a Washington D.C based Designer/Illustrator . He graduated College with a BA in Graphic Design in 2008, then shortly after, founded the Brand Beautiful Nightmare® in 2009 as a way of introducing his artwork to the world.

Like many designers Nightmare Mikey worked for several corporate and textile companies, his work with corporate art teams and various sized design studios proved to be a Pierian Spring for Nightmare Mikey. Allowing him to gain a wide breadth of experience, exposure to new techniques, and work with many types of people. Amongst his exposure to people ranging from the business big wigs, trendy or upcoming designers, hipsters, art enthusiast, curators, and all those in-between, Nightmare Mikey made sure to learn a thing or two from everyone to expand his knowledge and creative development. Taking these skills gained over the years, he decided to return to his true love of Illustration.

In the beginning Beautiful Nightmare was just an idea, which never seemed to leave the pages of coffee stained sketchbooks on Mikey’s desk. But, after months of careful planning, 2 trademarks and millions of empty cans of Wawa Lemonade, RedBulls, and 5 hour energy shots,Beautiful Nightmare finally became something tangible.
