Exquisite Digital Illustrations by Theo Aartsma

Theo Aartsma is an 28 year old designer and illustrator from the northern parts of Holland. He is mostly autodidact in the field he operates in and his work can best be described as an intricate blend between illustration and design. The main strength lie in the illustration of typography and style conception. He uses as much different media as he possible can, trying to get the best out of each one of them. He first came in contact with design and illustration while he was into the creation of electronic dance music and needed promotional material. This in time lead to a passion for webdesign. He choose to study communication & multimedia design and after he got his bachelor degree in 2006 he started working for one of Holland’s biggest corporate webdesign agencies. During the time Theo worked as a corporate designer he slowly regained his passion for illustration and graphics and did some freelance work under the alias Sumeco. After 4 years of working as a webdesigner he decided it was time to follow his passion completely and he went on as a full-time illustrator and graphic designer working for clients Nike, Pall Mall, Toyota and many others.
